Coffee Machine Features
The Keurig K-Classic has 3 cups sizes. This single serve coffee machine lets you select from between 6, 8, and 10 ounce brews.
The K-Select has 6, 8, 10 and 12 ounce cup settings. 6 to 8 ounces is considered a standard coffee cup size, and moving up to 10 to 12 ounces will cover larger mugs and taller travel mugs.
Selecting the cup size is easy with the cup sizes shown on each button.
Energy Saving - Auto Off
As an Energy Saving feature, the Auto-Off feature can be programmed to turn off the coffee maker after it has been idle for two hours after the last brew.
These both have a Descale button that will let you know when it's time to descale. Descaling your brewer will extend its life. It also removes built-up calcium deposits.
You usually have to descale once every 3 to 6 months depending on how often you use your machine.
Brew Strength Control - (K-Select Only)
If you're anything like me and prefer a good, strong brew, the K-Select coffee machine has a button that gives you this option. This gives a more intense flavored coffee.
Altitude Setting - (K-Select Only)
A surprising setting that the K-Select has and the K-Classic doesn't is the High Altitude Setting. This setting makes sure your your machine will work properly at altitudes higher that 5000 feet.

The K50 Classic also takes My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filters. These coffee filters let you brew with your own ground coffee and also save on waste and landfill. The My K-Cup Filters are designed for ground coffee only and don't work with tea leaves, cocoa, or other powdered beverages.
There are two fill lines to use as a guide for either a standard cup or travel mug brew. They are made from BPA-free materials, and durable enough to wash using the top-rack of the dishwasher.

The Keurig K-Classic is a base model single brew coffee machine. It has enough features to give value for money, but it doesn't come with either a built-in milk frother, or with a milk frother as part of a package.
